Oil Paints
What’s the difference between acrylics and oil paints?
I know this seems like a basic question but..the last set of paints i bought has a whole description fo how to mix thecolours but doesn’t state plainly whether or not its oils.
It says it is “washable” and “washes in soap and warm water”
but it is not water paint though..when i tried it yesterday no water was required..it it is too thick to be water paint
so is it oil or acrylic?
they each came in little jars.
Oil.
Think of the word Acrylic as Aqua.
With oil paints you need a solvent to thin them.
But if it says washable in water & soap, it may not even be oil or acrylic.
Poster paint possible? Gouache (doubt)… errm could be tubed watercolours, they can be quite thick. And obviously wash off.
