how can i become a Painter and decorator?
the only experience i have is of Painting and decorating my own home but no professional experience. How could i go about getting work experience, and should i do a college course? Can you make decent money as a painter/decorator? Eventually I’d like to work for myself.
Starting in your own home is not a bad place to start.
After all you have to be able to live with the work every day, which then leads you to making sure you keep a good standard for clients
Try see what courses are available and go from there,at the moment due to the credit crunch there is work around but it is all being very competetively priced ..
You can make money but your standards now have to be super high as clients can pick and choose who they want to do the work.
Once you have a few jobs behind you it helps to keep records, preferably pics to show what you can do
